Highly Anticipated Cape Winelands Airport
Located in one of South Africa's most picturesque regions, the Cape Winelands on the outskirts of Durbanville in the northern suburbs of Cape Town - The Cape Winelands Airport is set to commence with construction in 2025 and should be completed and receive its first passengers in 2027. This airport will be built on the historic Fisantekraal Airport site, which was originally established in 1943 for the South African Airforce during World War 2. Currently Cape Town International airport is unable to accommodate aircrafts such as the Airbus A380, which in turn the Cape Winelands Airport will be able to accommodate due to the Code F runway that will be built. This runway will span a total of 3.5 kilometers.
